By accessing or using Address Dock, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
Address Dock provides address management, verification, and community connection services. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our service at any time with reasonable notice to users.
You must be at least 16 years of age to use our services. By using Address Dock, you represent and warrant that you meet the age requirement.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and to update this information as necessary.
Our verification process may include proof-of-address verification and, for some business flows, physical mail confirmation. You may verify using phone carrier match (where enabled), a government ID upload, or—where available—by signing in to your utility provider's official website and sharing that browser tab with Address Dock for a limited time.
Phone carrier match. If you choose this method, you must consent before we send an SMS one-time passcode or query carrier identity records. You authorize your wireless carrier to disclose information about your account and device, including your name and billing address, to Address Dock and its service providers solely to verify your identity and address. Your phone number is not permanently stored in our database. Message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to cancel or HELP for assistance.
Utility portal verification. If you choose portal verification, you must review and accept in-product consent before capture begins. You open your provider's real sign-in page in a separate browser tab; your utility password is never sent to Address Dock. When you start capture, your browser shares only the tab you select. Capture is time-limited (typically up to 30 seconds) and stops automatically. We use the shared view to confirm you are on a supported provider account page and to read billing-related information (such as name, service address, and billing date) needed to verify your address.
Uploaded verification documents and portal capture frames are processed securely for verification only. We do not store copies of uploaded files or screen-capture images after processing. We retain verification status, consent version, and limited verification metadata as described in our Privacy Policy.
When you authorize email scanning, we only scan for account-related messages to discover accounts that may need address updates. We do not read or store the content of personal emails. You may revoke integration access at any time.
For neighbor-to-neighbor sales, all users must have verified addresses. Prohibited items include illegal goods, weapons, controlled substances, counterfeit items, and adult content. Users are responsible for complying with all applicable laws. Address Dock is not responsible for the quality or safety of items exchanged.
For business users, API access is subject to rate limiting as specified in API documentation. Businesses must obtain proper authorization from their users before verification. Misuse of the API may result in termination of access.
Uploaded verification documents and utility portal screen-capture frames are not retained as files after processing. We store verification outcomes, consent version, and limited metadata (such as matched fields and provider verification details) as long as needed to operate the service. Account information is retained as long as you maintain an active account. Transaction records may be retained for legal compliance purposes.
Your use of Address Dock is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Disputes between users should first be addressed through our reporting system. Disputes with Address Dock will be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If informal resolution is unsuccessful, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, illegal activities, or prolonged inactivity.
Address Dock is not liable for disputes between users, accuracy of information provided by users, service interruptions or data loss, or indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at support@addressdock.com.
